Facilitated by: Kayla Paquette, HBA, RECE, Strive Community Animator and Nyiel Nhial, RECE, Strive Community Animator
In this session, we invite leaders and community members to come together for a warm, café-style gathering centered around mentorship. Over light refreshments, participants will have the opportunity to connect, network, and engage in meaningful dialogue about mentorship in the early years sector. We will begin as a large group to set the tone for the evening, followed by breakout conversations guided by thoughtful prompts and questions. These conversations will explore the many layers of mentorship – its challenges, its impact, and the relationships it nurtures.
Participants can expect to:
Connect with others in leadership and community roles
Reflect on personal and professional experiences with mentorship
Share ideas, strategies, and stories in a relaxed and welcoming environment
Leave with new connections and insights to support their ongoing mentorship journey
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

She looks forward to connecting with the broader community through Strive, offering her support in a greater capacity.
Nyiel Nhial (she/her) graduated from Fanshawe College in 2014 with a diploma in Early Childhood Education and is currently a Registered Early Childhood Educator. More recently, she's expanded her professional skill set by completing a certificate in Organizational Leadership.
Nyiel is deeply passionate about supporting the growth and development of children and building strong relationships with families. She's now excited to take that passion further by connecting and engaging with the broader community.
