Through action and connection, educators will explore activities and games that engage children in skill-building, team-building, self-regulation, adventure, and JOY!

This session is carefully designed to get participants up on their feet, down on the floor, and laughing out loud as they adventure through practical engagements that suit any program room, regardless of available resources.

Pedagogical Focuses: Belonging - Engagement - Leadership - Networking

Standards of Practice: Standard I: Caring and Responsive Relationships, Standard II:  Curriculum and Pedagogy

Facilitators are passionate play advocates who work in the local early years community and will offer attendees with the tools they need to weave play into every part of their practice.

Kale Cabrera is a Windsor-born, London-living, play-provoking educator who adores any and all parts of working with school age children in child-care settings. Kale has been working with school-age children since 2016 and knows that - as much as she has experienced - there is always something new around the corner.

Lauren Goossens has spent 19 years in early learning, but she’s never lost her sense of wonder. As a Director at St. Thomas Early Learning Centre, she’s spent nearly two decades making sure every child and family feels like they truly belong from the second they walk in. Lauren is known for her out of the box storytelling and her belief that "the way we’ve always done it" is never as exciting as a fresh, creative idea. A lover of play, strong coffee, and her own family, Lauren keeps it real and keeps it fun, reminding us all that at the heart of early learning is a great story and a sense of home.

Jenn Fenn is an RECE who has been working in the field for 23 years. She is currently  an EarlyON Facilitator for Carling Thames Family Centre in London. Jenn has worked with all age groups, but loves working with Infants most of all. Jenn loves to travel and have new experiences.
