Site Tours take place in diverse early childhood settings across the community and will demonstrate various ways in which this sector observes, studies, reflects, plans, collaborates, and documents our lives with children. Participants get the opportunity to step outside of their centre and organization for a tour and meaningful dialogue with early years colleagues.
Chelsea Green Children’s Centre, established in 1986, is a non-profit childcare that offers an inclusive, child-centered, play-based curriculum. Grounded in the principles of How Does Learning Happen?, the centre fosters secure relationships, celebrates diversity, and encourages children’s natural curiosity. Tour participants will see bright, thoughtfully arranged classrooms featuring open-ended materials, inclusive resources, and documentation of children’s learning experiences. The centre’s large outdoor space, including a covered porch for all-weather play, and its on-site meal program reflect its commitment to supporting the whole child. Located within an adult education centre, Chelsea Green serves a diverse population of families from across London.
