THE AWARE LEADER: FROM INSIGHT TO IMPACT (LEADERSHIP)

  • Four Points by Sheraton London 1150 Wellington Road London, ON, N6E 1M3 Canada (map)

Join us on May 29th at Four Points by Sheraton for a reflective, skill‑building session designed to support the integration of foundational DEIB learning into everyday leadership and early years practice.

This half‑day experience includes:

Keynote: Facilitated by Mariam Waliji, Caitlin Villeneuve, and Eaman Fahmy

This session is an invitation to pause and reflect on what it means to lead with self-awareness. With an opportunity for conversation, participants will consider what is necessary for deep self-reflection. We will explore our Framework for DEIB Self-Reflection, highlighting the importance of looking inward both honestly and compassionately, especially when in positions of leadership. We will close with takeaways that support a self-reflective practice as the foundation of being a self-aware leader.

DEIB Microlearning & Facilitation with Strive

Following the keynote, Strive will introduce a series of five (5) microlearning videos designed to embed foundational DEIB practices across all professional roles. Strive will share how the videos were curated, walk through key themes, and provide facilitation strategies leaders can use when bringing this learning into their programs.

Grounded in principles of brave space, and exploring essential DEIB components such as accountability, language, and respect, Strive will guide leaders through an engaging and practical experience. Together, we will model a live facilitation using one of the microlearning videos, demonstrating how to guide dialogue, prompt reflection, and support effective conversations. This hands‑on segment equips leaders with tangible approaches to confidently facilitate similar conversations within their own teams.

This opportunity is open to leaders at all levels. Participants may register for either a morning or afternoon session.

Morning session (8:30 - 11:30 AM) participants will have breakfast provided.

Afternoon session (12:30 - 3:30 PM) participants will have lunch provided.
