In these sessions, All Kids Belong (AKB) hopes to remind professionals of their important role, and how they are making a difference in their daily interactions. With this recognition in mind, they will focus on key factors that influence how professionals care for themselves and others. In this 2-part series, AKB will focus on key factors that can influence how professionals care for themselves and others, and how self-care is essential in enabling them to continue to make a difference. This series will touch on, and then summarize, the importance of:
Self-care
Stress management
Mindfulness
Self-awareness
Self-regulation
Viewing behaviour through kind eyes
Bias
Personal boundaries
Self-reflection

Dina Collard has been a Resource Consultant for 19 years with All Kids Belong. Dina has a background in Developmental Services Work and Early Childhood Education. Summer is her favourite season and she enjoys spending her free time at the beach with her family or in her backyard gardening.
Nancy Liabotis has been a Resource Consultant with All Kids Belong for over 20 years. She has been in the field for many years and seen how the field has advanced. In her spare time she likes to volunteer, garden, read and go to the beach.
