FUNDAMENTALS OF EXCEL

Registration opens December 1 at 7 PM

Facilitated by: Jan Gourley (she/her), R.E.C.E., Literacy Link South Central

The Fundamentals of Excel workshop will help participants develop their skills to maximize their use of Excel and the efficiencies it offers for sorting and categorizing data. During this workshop we will be covering topics including: what is the Excel Ribbon and the important tools you can find on the ribbon. We will also cover other topics including formatting data, sorting data, and working with formulas. This session will allow participants to watch and learn. Participants will also be encouraged to try what they are being shown, using their own computers and versions of Excel while the presentation is happening. Participants will be provided a handout following the workshop. It will provide reference material on how to use the tools in Excel that are covered in the workshop. It will also include some scenarios that participants can complete to test the knowledge they have gained. An answer key will be included. It is expected that participants who complete The Fundamentals of Excel workshop will have a deeper understanding of utilizing Excel and efficiently sorting and managing data.
