LONDON BRIDGE – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Location:
Administration Office located at 550 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London ON N5X 1L1
This role is primarily onsite in London, Ontario, with some travel across Middlesex, Huron, and Lambton. Occasional evening commitments will support Board and community engagement.

Description:
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the organization’s senior leader, responsible for advancing the mission, ensuring operational excellence, and strengthening London Bridge’s long-term sustainability. You will provide clear strategic direction, oversee programs and operations, and serve as the organization’s primary ambassador.
This role calls for thoughtful leadership and steady stewardship. You will guide a complex, multi-site organization through ongoing transformation in the early years sector, while keeping quality, sustainability, and core values at the center of every decision.
To support a strong and successful transition, the successful candidate will begin in September 2026 and work alongside the current Executive Director through December 2026. This overlap is designed to foster relationship-building, knowledge sharing, and a confident start in the role.
How You’ll Contribute
Strategic & Governance Leadership
You will work closely with the Board of Directors to shape direction, support strong governance, and guide long-term planning.
Organizational Leadership
You will support and inspire a senior leadership team, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and growth.
Financial Stewardship & Operations
You will oversee financial health, resource allocation, and operational excellence—ensuring sustainability while maintaining high-quality programs.
Community Leadership & Advocacy
You will build meaningful relationships with families, partners, and stakeholders, and serve as a thoughtful voice within the broader early years sector.
What You Bring
Senior leadership experience in a complex organization (non-profit, education, child care, or community sector preferred)
Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors
A strong track record of leading through change, growth, and complexity
Financial acumen and experience with long-term planning and sustainability
A commitment to developing people, supporting teams, and fostering inclusive workplaces
Strength in building relationships, partnerships, and community connections• Sound judgment and the ability to lead with clarity in complex or high-pressure situations
Familiarity with Ontario’s child care and early years sector is an asset
Education
Post-secondary degree in a relevant field required
Background in early childhood education is an asset
Graduate education or additional leadership/governance training is an asset
Other Requirements
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Current Vulnerable Sector Check in accordance with organizational policy
Valid Standard First Aid Level C and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain this
Must have access to reliable transportation
